Introduction We are seeking approval for a project to study the affectiveness of a new emergency notification program at MSU. The current emergency notification system for MSU lacks in many ways such as lack of information about weather warnings and natural disasters. Students and falculty are not being provided an adequate update when there is bad weather lurking in the vacinity. Students have to look for updates on the daily news weather channel, rely on word of mouth, or text messages from friends that are not as accurate as a new program at MSU would be. Msu is an excellent D-2 university in this country and to have students say they are unaware of what to do in case of an emergency or natural disater on campus when it happens is not MSU’s standards. MSU takes pride in maintaining a safe atomosphere for its students and falculty. Our group is proposing a new emergency notification system for MSU, one that will ensure the future safety of all students and faculty. Figure 1 In figure 1 shows the majority who answered the survey questions and most everyones strongly agreed that there is not adequate information made available for emergency notifications. |
